Counseling Services

Analaigh Heals is a multi-specialty health care provider. What exactly does this mean? It means that we approach treatment holistically by considering four areas of the “self.” These aspects of the self take into account the interaction between the mind (cognitions or thoughts), physical body, relational and spiritual selves. We take time to get to know our clients including their goals and desires for counseling. Once we have a good understanding of what our clients want then we work collaboratively with them to design a treatment plan that will best meet their unique situation. Depending on the person’s goals we may focus more on one aspect of the self than another. For example, if the person is having difficulty in a personal relationship than our primary treatment goal may be to address the relational concerns and the other aspects of the person may receive less attention. Sometimes the concern is primarily physical then the body may become the primary focus.

At other times the primary concern may follow a personal loss or significant unexpected change in one’s life. People will often start to question their own existence, values, morals, and purpose in life. Such questioning can lead to depression, anxiety, frustration or anger. We call this type of questioning an existential crisis. It can be helpful for an individual to seek out support to move through the crisis. Exploring what your life’s purpose is can be liberating as you rediscover yourself. The focus in therapy would be on the fourth area, spiritual self.

Treatment modalities that we use to address the four areas of the self include: Eye movement desensitization (EMDR), cognitive behavioral interventions, Gottman Couple’s Counseling, Trauma Informed Therapy, Mindfulness Training, Positive Discipline and Craniosacral Therapy. Taken together these evidenced based modalities consider the mind, body, relational and spiritual selves.

Examples of concerns that have been treated by Analaigh clinicians include: physical trauma, emotional trauma, attachment related challenges, depression, anxiety, fears/phobias, under performance, parent child relational issues, couple’s and family relational issues, stress, work place challenges, unwanted habits, and stagnant personal growth and achievement. Our clients include individuals, couples, and family systems.
